OHCS Staff Acquire Knowledge In Interview Skills
The Career Management Directorate (CMD) of the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) has organized<--break-> a one day training workshop for senior officers in interview skills.
Addressing officers at the Civil Service Training Center (CSTC) the Head of Civil Service (HCS), Nana Agyekum Dwamena, observed that mostly the interest of interviewing panels was to pass candidates. This he noted was unacceptable and that the workshop was meant to stop this attitude and eventually ensure that OHCS officers who chair interviewing panels improve the process.
The HCS hoped that at the end of the workshop OHCS officers would have been empowered to play the strategic gatekeeping role in ensuring that only the best suited for the Civil Service are employed or promoted.

“For the first time in the history of the Civil Service, about 80% of annual reports have been tendered in”, a development he attributed to improved work attitude of OHCS staff.
The Acting Chief Director, Patricia Agyepong, expressed great satisfaction at the content of the training workshop. She hoped the training had initiated a new era of an interviewees that were going to be analytical in approach. He commended the facilitator, Director of CMD, Noah Tumfo for the good work done.
